Gettin' Laid Again,

Well everything went great the other night at my Dad's retirement dinner. I had the crowd in the palm of my hand. They really seemed to enjoy my short set of songs. They did a real nice job of honoring my father that night. They transformed the church gym to look like the Theater at Madison Square Garden. It was really cool. My sister gave a nice speech. She really had some great stories about my Dad. Very Funny.

So I started writing music again. Its been a while. I guess my mind has been on other things. If I put as much effort into writing as I did on other stupid things, my life would be very different I can assure you. I think that I have come up with some good stuff. Someday when I get the whole gold membership thing I will try and get some of the tunes up there so they can be heard. It's always good to get outside opinions about your material from people you don't really know. They're so much more honest about it. If you ask someone you know it's always "yeah, That sounds really good" not knowing if they really mean it or if they're just trying to spare your feelings. I always welcome constructive criticism.

So at this point in my life things are good. everyone dear to me is healthy, the kids are doing great, the wife and I have seemed to iron some things out though we still have some issues, and my new found inspiration for writing (whatever that is) has really lifted a heavy load off my back. Not being able to write is like not being able to get laid. It's very frustrating. Things are good, not great but good. I can deal with that.
