Yes it's true. Here in Jersey spring is officially here. This past weekend was the shit! The weather was perfect. I feel like a new man. I was so tired of winter and rain and cold that I wanted to blow my fucking brains out. Now I feel like a hundred dollars.
Saturday was fun. We went to a friends hoouse for a party. The kids ran around and had a blast. we hung out, drank many beers had loads of fun and soaked up all of the sun.
Sunday we(the band) played at Waterloo Village. It was pretty cool. the crowd really got into it and that always makes it fun. It wasn't too hot or cold. The weather was fucking perfect.
Monday I decided to take off work and go with the family to Point Pleasent. We took the kids to the boardwalk there and they had a blast playing games and whatnot. I won a big giant stuffed Shrek for my oldest son in this crane game. You know the games with the claw that you position over the prize and try to pick it up. Only this game was huge. You could fit twenty adults into this thing. He went nuts. And I won it on the first try. Only cost me two bucks. Usually you end up dropping a twenty or so into one of those machines before you actually win something. It's worth it though when you see how happy your kid is when you win something for them. He and I walked down to the water and let the waves chase us up the beach. One wave came in and we got our feet wet. Then my son who was trying to run from it lost his balance and fell face first into the ice cold water. He cryed a little at first because it was so cold but then he laughed about it. Luckily I had the video camera going and caught the whole thing on tape. It was so funny. He wanted to watch it over and over. Poor little guy. He was all cover with sand and soaking wet. But he thought it was funny so that's good.
It was such a great day with the Fam. I need to hit the lottery so that I can do that shit everyday. It sucks to have to work everyday like this. It really bothers me to think about all the shit I miss when I'm not there. I could really use that record deal now.
Oh well , that's my weekend. It's supposed to rain off and on the rest of the week. Fucking Jersey Weather Sucks. It will probably rain for a few days and then it will turn to extreme fucking heat. There is no in between in this state. You only get a few really nice days a year.
