Ahh......Finally!

I have been trying to update all morning but my lack of "gold" membership has not allowed me to do so. Finally I can.

I saw Fahrenheit 9/11 last night. My only thought is Hmmmmmm.......... I can't say that I was blown away by it but it really makes you think. Thats about all I will say about it. I'm not one to get into a political discussion simply because it always leads to a disagreement of sorts and that is fine. I just wouldn't want anyone to judge the kind of person I am simply because of my political position. Believe me. It's a very tiny part of who I am. I vote the way I vote and to be honest with you, I don't even know if I will vote. Either side poses a problem with me. Enough of that.

Onto better things. Well not so much better, just different. I was sick all weekend with a fever. It sucked. I havn't had a fever in years. this one lasted for a couple of days. It just wouldn't break. It hovered around 102.8 degrees for all of saturday and sunday. I actually started to get a little worried and then when I woke up on monday it was totally gone. I feel like a hundred dollars now. I am rested and listening to some killer tunes. I'm listening to Jeff sarges Reggae School Room. It's a show that airs on a free form station here in jersey on sunday mornings. I've listened to it for years and now you can go on this site and listen to it whenever you please. Jeff plays a great variety of reggae and a lot of stuff that you would probably never hear. They have all of of his shows for the past few years archived there. I love this show. I would listen to it on the way to and from church every sunday when I was in high school. Now that I'm older and don't have the influence of my parents in my everyday life I don't attend church as much as I probably should. Jeff Sarge's Reggae Schoolroom has sort have become my replacement sunday service. Reggae is very uplifting to me. It has that groove and pulse with a message all tied up in a single song. In my life it has probably been the most influential style of music though I don't play it in any band I have ever been in. Oh sure we played Red Red Wine when it was big and have done the random Bob Marley song and we even did the reggae style song "Peice Of Shit car" by Adam Sandler. It's greatest influence on me has been on my life, the kind of person I am. It has made me more socially concious and has warmed my heart and has made me believe that life and love are worth fighting for. It has also taught me of oppression and prejudice while at the same time teaching me the importance of unity and freedom and equality and family. If you get a chance listen to the show and then listen to the songs and then listen to the words, hopefully you will come away with some love of the music.

Well it's back to work for me right now. ONLY 25 MINUTES TO GO. I hope all is well with everyone.

Here is a little saying I try to live my life by:

"Never stand over a beaten man....Unless you're intention is to help him up"

Later,ROB
