Snow!
Well this past weekend it snowed quite a bit. we got somewhere between 15 and 20 inches. We were at my in-laws over the weekend for a 40th anniversary party when it started to snow. We only stayed at the party for a couple of hours and it was a good thing. The snow was getting very deep very quickly. now my in-laws live in Brick NJ. "Down the shore" as we say here in north jersey and let me tell ya, the township doesn't know shit about snow removal. we didn't get home until monday night. Up here in north jersey the roads were clear the next day. Not down there though. The only reason we left monday was because I had to work the next day. I had already taken monday off because the roads were so bad and I didn't want to pile my kids into the van and go sliding down the highway. Not very safe. And it wasn't much better by late monday either but I had to get home. We took it slow through Brick and made it to the Parkway unscathed. the parkway was clear and dry. It just doesn't make sense to me. anyway.
Back to work today. Tonight we are taking the kids to see disney on ice. It should be fun for them. They love that shit and I get a kick out of just watching them. I'm sure they will love it. Not much else going on in my life at the moment. All work and no play makes jack a dull boy. I can't believe I just wrote that. The next thing you know I'll be chopping people up with an axe.(The Shining). "I'm not gonna hurt ya, I'm just gonna bash your brains in, I'm gonna bash them right the fuck in!". Sorry......I love that movie.
