Minnesota Here I Come!
Yup, It's off to Viking Country this weekend. I can't wait. We're going out to Minneapolis to suprise my sister for her fortieth birthday. That's The wife and I , my folks and my Uncle who is flying solo without my aunt for this trip. I can hear him shaking up the martinis as we speak. He makes the best martinis I have ever had. My bro- in-law (who I love like a brother) is so pumped for us all to come. He has called me like four times in the past two days to make sure everything is alright. He is the best. He's renting a limo and we are all going to hit the town. Dinner is at this place and then it's drinks and dancing somewhere in Minneapolis. We're leaving friday morning and coming home on monday evening so it will be a nice long weekend. I'm sure one of those days we'll end up here. The girls can go shopping and I'm sure that most of my time in the mall will be spent here with my uncle pounding beers. He is going to have so much fun. I don't think I have ever seen him without my aunt always at his side. He's going to be like an uncaged animal.
Now heres the icing on the cake. The kids are staying here in New Jersey with my in-laws. Not that I don't like having my kids around but the wife and I have not gone anywhere alone together in like 5 years. It will be like a second honeymoon for us. I'd better stock up on condomns. Yeah right! I'm sure by the end of the four days I'll miss them terribly and will want to come home to see them. I really love those little buggers.
Anywhooo! In the words of the great Steve Martin.......(singing)" I'm leaving.....on a jet plane......Don't know what a jet plane is". Have a nice weekend. I know I will.
